On average when did you put the second van (& team) on the road?

at the minute theres 2 of us at it in one van. and sometimes the help of a 3rd person (sub-contractor)

The TURNOVER is starting to look very impressive, more than what i ever imagined when i started 

Starting to struggle to get all work completed in time (even before this bad weather started)

well at the moment i am just under £60k and (PERSONALLY) i would find it pointless?

Turnover has very little to do with it.

You put a second van on the road when there is too much work for one van.

It's going to mean you need lots more customers fast and will be a gamble but you will struggle to increase your turnover without spending.

thats what i was worried about, taking that pay-cut.  although i know it will have to be made one day

although i realise you gotta speculate to accumulate

 remember if you put another van on road you will soon be at the VAT point and will have to raise your prices by 20% from january, will your domestic customers be ok with this price rise or will you have to stand the 20%, i am not saying dont put another van on road but just take into consideration it could be a fair amount of time before you see a significant increase to your profits and not only that when you start to employ another van it is harder to monitor the standard of their work and you can go through quite a number of employees till you find good reliable ones. I have seen 3 men teams working, 2 wfp ..one trad,

this must be the more profitable option, and when the 3 man team can no nonger cope with the workload,...then i think the next van is needed,

so a long way to go yet for me.
