Ionics pole hose
« on: December 03, 2010, 12:00:41 pm »
Fed up with the yellow pole hose Gardiners supply as it keeps twisting and bunching up.

Anyone use and able to reccomend Ionics. I have some of their old black pole hose (5 years old) which is very good but guess they have likely changed/modified it since then, so wondering if it is still good.

I don't know if they still do it, but I have the black ionics stuff too (the only thing of theirs I can catagorically say is the best).
It's brilliant.

I seem to remember having really good hose on an ionics pole that was given to me about 5 yrs ago...almost rubbery and yes probably the best.  Is that the hose your talking about?

Gardiners always used to be clear ones, not yellow.

Where can I get a good one at a fair price the same size then?

I have found this hose very good indeed, bought some myself brilliant stuff.

The Ionics pole hose I have is about 5 years old and I am going to swap it for my gardiners pole hose which IMO is poor.

Wondering about buying some of the new Ionics pole hose for another pole but hope the new stuff is still as good.

Looks a good price and it says they will do it in some more visible colours soon.

I have a Glyder from ionics, and it has their new pole hose.  Have to say it is very good, I like the bright orange, but you can also get it in black.  The poles I had before this had simple clear 5mm hose, of the type you can buy in B&Q.  I never thought much about it until I used the Glyder, and now I would never use that clear pipe again.

You can buy it from their online shop here:

I swapped over from Gardiners yellow to Wintecs black - just as twisty. Secret for me is once a day to walk the hose out to the full length (40' +) and twist the hose anticlockwise a few turns. Coils back up a treat
