Filling up with resin that's been in the shed.....
« on: November 29, 2010, 07:36:38 pm »
Hi guys,
Although all my gear is cosy in the garage, I have just refilled my resin as the Tds was up to 6,
Anyway resin was stored in the shed, bit lumpy, possibly frozen in parts.
Is this resin useless once frozen, as my Tds is still only 5 at the moment.

Help appreciated

Had the same problem last year, give the Di bottle a good "shoogle" should be ok.

I have been told if resin freezes its no use and throw it away asap. :(

Tried jogging , but still 006
Just wondering if resin has shelf life.?
And maybe as it was wet when I filled up, maybe it's not tightly packed?

Thanks guys

Blue monkey,
Your dead right, cos weirdly I got the resin in august, I should have returned to PF as the bag was full of condensation.!

This is my experience of Tulsion MB115. Have been using this particular resin for approx 3 years now.

Mine is stored outside all year round, the bag once opened is then screwed round & tied with a tie wrap. It's been fozen solid, been damp & been dry. I have never noticed any considerable difference in it's performance & it has ALWAYS given me 000ppm when used. ;)
