omnivac hose and connections

anyone know where you can buy lengths of hose and connecters for omnivac.?
the hose supplied with it is to long for most domestic work,i would like to make up my own shorter hose

ive thought of that  ;Dbut sometimes you need the length on the bigger jobs

Cut it in half and buy a connector from omnivac  if u need the longer length. Or am I missing something?????

connections at both ends are the same,so once cut it wont join again
