8 hours to fill 500 litre tank - well just under 500 as the float switch will shut it off.   As long as water isn't static it won't freeze.

Seen the forecast for next 2 weeks and this cold spell is over in a week.  As long as there is no heavy snow down here then i should be able to do 4 days this week as planned with cold water WFP.

Having said that i am ike many others now going to add a retro fit hot water system, thank god for mas break gives me time to fit it  :)

hi lads i've got the van filling i had to pour boiling water from the outside tap to thaw it and a couple of kettle fulls on the hose to fill the van.i bought some snow boots from ebay and some thick thermal socks to keep the feet warm.i bought an oil filled radiator electric and have it plugged in all night to keep the back of the van warm.see how it goes hopefully get the week in.Does any one know about adding antifreeze to the cleaning solution if its no good with pole so i have to do traditional?

Just so long as the float switch doesn't freeze-up.

Tank filled overnight,  did think of the float switch freezing up but checked it and it was fine.   Off out now.
