The veins inside the pump often break when frozen, we sold lots through the freeze at the beginning of the year to guys that had let their pump freeze.

if the pump makes a noise when you turn on i take it thats working?

if the pipes are frozen when you turn it on will that knacker it automatically?

unfirtunately i cant take my pumps out like some on here as they are wired in and it was factory fitted system. having seen some diy wfp kits i can see the advantages of setting it up in such a way that pumps and filters could be easily portable for when weather is like this to save them.
