do you all keep the white filter inside the machine when using it for gutter cleaning

took mine out as it would not protect anything
the main float stops the muck from going up into the motors
cleaning it would be a nightmare !

I could be wrong but I think it may be a earth/grounding point to reduce any static build up, mine has 1 too

the white filter is to be used when vaccing dust and dry debris as it stops it going into the motor , if using vac on water or sludge there is no need for the filter as there is no dust created to get in the motor and the float stops water getting into the motor by stopping the suction when the machine is full
