Hi i need help starting up ionic or brodex?
« on: November 25, 2010, 08:48:04 pm »
Hi I'm looking to start up a window cleaning business. Had ionic's around today showing me their pro 6 system and have got brod x coming tomorrow to show me one of their systems.  Wondered what the general consensus of opinion was between ionic and brodex system. Also the guy from Ionic tells me that I only need to buy a 30 feet pole to start with. Should I pay a bit more and get the 40feet glider?

You got some money to burn  ;D

30ft is more thank enough mate, i use a 17ft'er all day long and get out my bigger one on odd windows. Even then its rarely over 30ft.

get the cleaning warehouse or pure freedom to fit a system, you will be looking at £2500 for an excellent system then get a clx or slx from gardiners, and you will be fine

Expensive option, they tend to attract newbies.

argreed

You will find that there arnt many on here that have ionics systems, its not that they arnt good but they are expecsive compared to a system from a smaller supplier that will be just as good, alot on here put together there own systems, i looked down that route you can assemble a top quality system for £1000 with a 4040 RO, but i ended up getting my system from the cleaning warehouse in wolverhampton, it was there top system, 20" pre filters 4040 ro 2 man setup with reels all fitted in my van for £2650.

You can go for ionics and have there logo on your van, but you will be paying an awful lot more for system that wont be any better than the one i got.

I would go to pure freedom or the other one that was mentioned. I Diy'ed mine but it was a hassle. If you have the cash and are not that good at diy then I would get one fitted. As for poles, I would just get one, a 30 foot slx from gardiners. I went and got a 17 foot xtel and a 25 foot slx. The 17 foot pole never comes out of the van! the slx gets used for everything, But I wish I went for the 30 footer as its a stretch on 3 storey town houses, and I believe the closed length is still the same as the 25 footer.

Once you understand a wfp system and who sells them you will find it impossible to see where your money went with the heavily marketed systems out there.

Its like going in a posh hotel bar and paying £9.50 for a pint of lager when you know its only £2.50 in your local.
