are any of you guys tradding more ground floors due to the very cold weather?ive been cleaning nearly all ground floors trad today and salting the odd doorway(below a window ive just wfpoled).i was surprised!its not slowed me down one bit!! :Dmind you i was fully trad for 17 years before wfp!i also use a bottle on a belt so no carrying bucket.

dazmond , once youve been using wfp on any window never go back to blading it in the winter , youve spent time getting all the soap and crap off it ,now youll just put it back on,

Only front doors on the shady side of the houses today. A good wfp'er can easily get rid of a bit of soap from doing it trad.

I did trad a few ground floor ones last Winter but only on very vulnerable paths - particularly if an older person lives there.  Remember, a fall is much more likely to kill an older person.  There are only a few paths where it is necessary (IMO) though.  I think it's about using your skill and judgment in playing it right.  I've already got a fair supply of rock salt in.  I got some of it over a week ago but as it's become clearer that there is likely to be a cold snap, I bought some more.  I don't want to be left without like last year.  All tax deductible too remember.

ive just cleared out the local shop of salt(22 bottles of it!!)it cost me just under a tenner.hopefully ill be ok for a few weeks.the woman behind the counter was  not impressed with me clearing out her stock though!she started ranting at me then realised she was showing herself up in front of a big queue of people!



im sure i wont have too many problems with reverting back to wfp on ground floors once the weather has warmed up a bit!!just a good extra rinse should do the trick.

im just not prepared to leave big puddles of water around every custies house(just small puddles!)in this freezing weather.also i enjoyed the change!wfp is too messy sometimes IMO!!

DAZMOND if you have to trad use ecover+pure water as it leaves no film on the windows,
 it`s  easy to wfp the next time!

i use squeegee off or gg3.never had a problem wfpoling them again next time.just give an extra scrub and rinse.

Spot on! It's the biggest myth in wfp anyway!

I have windows I trad one month & wfp the next.

why would you do that  .get all the custys on side regarding wfp and then start using a blade every other time . no thanks

I quite often trad big windows (patio doors etc)  downstairs because its actually the one type of window that is better done trad. You save on water ( a throwback to the days when I had a trolley), its just as quick and you have the confidence of a visual check that nothing has been missed.

These are "eyeball" windows, marks get noticed and they are most likely to attract  sticky handprints, pigeon hits, snail trails etc.

Two houses next to each other. one is a large 5 bed detatched on 2 monthly the other is a small bungalow. When I do them both I wfp them both, when it's just the bulgalow it's faster trad!

I've done countless builders cleans trad then wfp from next time, no problems with soap. I could give you many examples & I've never had any "issues" regarding soap from previous cleans.
