its still very icy here in manchester.now im wfp im thinking of just working half days during this cold spell.

11am-330pm with half hour for dinner.so a full 4 hours working.

how do you guys get on?im worried about water freezing on the glass if i start at 9am.

my hours will be 10-2 anyway coz i have to get my daughter from school and have no one to get her or have her for me. in summer it will be diff she can do after school clubs so i get an extra hour or so

Water would only freeze on a window if the glass was below freezing in temperature... Everyone has heating on inside which means no glass should be below freezing - I've never had any problems anyway.

I can tell you're a southerner!

With double glazing dramatically reducing heat escape there is every possibility that glass will freeze! Always worst on the side of the house that gets no sun!

One day last winter, at 2.30pm it was -9 here! Yeah, no problem!

i started at 8.40 this morning first window i did froze towards the bottom,went to the van and added screen wash and was ok and it was 0c,windows that were exposed more to wind chill freeze easily im dreading wen it gets colder

Its been really cold this week with today being the coldest at about 2c. I've started every day at 10 am and finished at 330pm. Last week in the month is always a pressure week for me as most of mine are monthly so need to get them all in.
