Hozelock Pro Metal connectors
« on: November 24, 2010, 07:39:42 pm »
Hi all,

Just thought i'd recommend the Hozelock pro metal Aquastop connector and male adaptor for those using side entry onto their hose reel spindle.

Was using brass connectors before but found as the reel spins they wear very quickly and start to leak and squeak when reel turns.

These new hozelock pro metal connectors are pricey but quality, very smooth action when the reel is turning, and you can get thm in B & Q and Homebase.

I have these on two reels.
They are nice and tight, but a joke when it comes to taking them off!

I have to undo them from the hose so the mechanism will pull back far enough.

Maybe my pump hose is too thick.
