I got  2.0hdi dispatch on 55 plate with 600l tank, roofrack, ladders etc.

Only worked out economy once and it was 35mpg. I don't thrash it though.

well i do cart a 650l tank and the wife, make sure you change your fuel filter every 9 months, and air filter, ive just done that as my tank crept down to 500miles a tank, not too sure if changing the oil and filter makes a difference.

i have taken my roof rack off as well, so that will give me an extra 5-10% hopefully!

i do rag it as well, but going to slow down and see if i can get 700 out of it! you know how it is though, always rushing trying to get the jobs in!

i would highly recommend a lwb transit connect. i carry 500-600L of water in it, when its full it does slow down but still pulls no problems, very comfortable, and i get 30-35 mpg from it.

That's our experience as well with 3 Hdi diesels. A couple of pence saving at the supermarket pumps is more than lost with higher fuel consumption rates.

is that the connect T220, i was looking to get the t230 lwb was mainly for the payload and only relised the other day they do a swb version that has nearly the same payload about 60kg difference so has made think again which one to get.
