Fancy winning £500??

The Guild is proud to announce our new competition! The task: Simply shoot/edit & upload a video promoting the Guild to youtube. Once uploaded, e-mail the link to info@mgwc.org to get your video approved & officially entered into the competition. The video that gets the most views wins!

The rules are... minimal:

ANYONE can enter,.. not just Guild members & not even just window cleaners (Even Ewan!).

The video can be as long or short as you want,.. but we do want something
snappy & memorable, so more than 3 or 4 minutes might be too much
unless the content is exceptional.

The content should be clean, no swearing, no rude jokes etc etc.

The video should be to promote the Guild itself & should reflect our goals & aspirations, whilst maintaining a proper respect for other organisations.

The closing date for entries is Jan 31st 2011 and the views will be counted & prize awarded on Feb 28th 2011.

Some suggestions for the content so far include:

1. How about , showing the difference between a guild member and a non guild
member, using the Trotters as an example of a non guild member or clips
from the movie confessions of a window cleaner

2. How about something like this, with the join the Guild tag linehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXP9mEePgbQ

3. How about a WWF rip off with "Adopt a cowboy window cleaner" as the
tagline. These poor defenceless dole scroungers are being pushed towards
extinction by the unprecedented growth of the Guild,... something along

4. A Carlsberg type ad,.. probably the best window cleaners in the world.

Thanks for the e-mails everyone.
Just to confirm,.. you have got ages yet, closing date isn't until Jan 31st 2011, so when the snow is up to the first floor window cills and your system is frozen beyond use, you can get out the camcorder then!

BUT,.. the winner will  be judged on the most Youtube views,.. so getting your entry up there early may give you an advantage,....
