need a 60ftish pole wat would you recommend looking at gardiners modular 56ft brodex modular 60ft or a 50ft supermax as i already have and love my 35ft supermax the swift and facelift are a bit pricey

The BFG has one for sale, its in very good condition,i can vouch for that as i have been on jobs where she has used it. Mate its hardly used, a very good buy in my opinion.

But on the negative side we've had two sections stuck solid together for two months in the van.

Have you tred a hot air gun, heat the joints up till its too hot to touch then let it cool, 3-4  times a day until it suddenly comes loose ! jus like that

havent a clue what it weighs but it cost me £1500 in 2008 so want no less than £500

This is what I do & have never had a section stuck.

Only use the PTFE spray (I don't use the vaseline), spray each joint on the day of use. If using it for say, more than a 2 hour period, next time you lower the pole just gently pull each section out an inch then back in. Also, I only gently push the sections together in the first place. Hope that helps.

I would wonder if the brodex was actual length, they may have added the hip hight to the pole.  That height I would go for a gardiners SL, even the supermax I think would be too whippy and heavy.  You want the most control over the pole as possible. Only reason not to go modular would be if you have a few windows at that height and need to change pole length constantly.
