What is your motivation for being on Cleanitup?

Anyone else got any idea?

Nathanael's rumbled me!  ;D

No - with you Ewan I wonder why you keep deleting your posts? Looking at your statistics you've started more than 3600 topics yet only show about 100 posts; and except for DMSI you've been on here much more than any other poster. Over 100 days!

If you hadn't deleted so many you would probably show over 10,000 posts I reckon.

Just wondering ...

He could tell you but you wouldn't understand, the fact that you ask shows you don't have the intellectual scope to absorb it! ;D

Personally, I believe he's a Brodex plant. ;)

I think my motivation is i like to argue, or debate. I like to share info. When i first started it was a lifeline.People who help like jeff (and the other jeff) made me feel humble.Of course that didn't last long.

There is an arc to ciu users, they come on, ask questions, and then in time either leave or become a know all. Some like gold, and green go beyond the know all into a sort of older statesman.

As i'm a solo act, this is as near as i get to workmates or co directors. Some of my best work has been done on here, and mostly i get ignored which suits me fine.

Oh and i should have added, i'm no end helpfull, encouraging the mods when they get despondant, and bucking businesses up such as lee and wcpro.

3600, that can’t be right, computer error or CIU fixing the numbers
it does seem a bit wierd. Why delete your posts?

Not sure, but stranger is why you would want to know that? Not sure why he deletes his posts, he does seem maybe not confrontational but maybe at loggerheads with others ideas. Which in itself is no bad thing. The worst thing is when everyone agrees, it doesn;t open up much for discussion or thought. Besides i do agree with a bit of what he says !! Only a bit though !!  ;D

The anomally of ewan sometimes being right (discuss)?

Well the first point to make is that for the first thousand or so posts he spelt his name euan, but it's entirely consistent that he should be unsure of the spelling of his own name. One of the many theories for this is that over the years different people have made the posts.

As regards being right, i think you'll find that i will tell him something, he will strongly disagree, but then about three months later he'll repeat it except that by this time he's gotten it in to his head that it was his idea in the first place.

The most common questions put to ewan but never ever answered are;

What system do you have?
What van do you use?
What software?

The only time he did answer a question about who he most admired on the forum he said me, adding that i was usually right about everything too.

At 1st solely to get information. Then to share my opinions or try and help with things i've learned along the way.
Whenever there's some mass confrontation going on i get quite rivetted for a little while. And sometimes because of other characters who come on here.
So a bit of take (1st), a bit of giving back, amusement and other people on here. In no particular order or preference.  :)

I came on here to learn (and still do). But its almost become an addiction, there is so much crap on telly anyway. The short time I have been on here though it has started to get a bit repetitive. A lot of good posters have gone after all that falling out and getting banned by that new admin bloke who never lasted long  ::) shame really
