So Which Machine is One of the best?
« on: November 16, 2010, 08:56:22 pm »
What a great forum guys - really enjoying what I have read.

Carpet cleaning is something I was interested in for a while.

Looking to buy a machine.

Like the idea of the prochem machines.

dont mind spending a couple of K really because im sure the work is out there...

and herein the problem lies  craig, and if as you say you have , searched the posts you will discover that not only a machine is required , the difficult task is getting the custys to sustain the income that you require, not as easy as it sounds as many a newbie will tell you along with many seasoned pros, so allow yourself a few extra k for all of the other x,s that will crop up .
I am not trying to deter you , just seeking to open your eyes a little wider.

Dont go near Ashbys and their crappy Ninja. Extracta Excel I found a bit dated and heavy. I've had Alltec machines for the last 10yrs and I cant see anything bettering the advance that i bought this year. Absolutely fantastic machine. Huge tanks, great suction and great to manhandle up steps etc etc.

By the way I've always had new machines but the Advance I bought this year was second hand. Cost £500 with a great wand too. So dont think you gotta go for new, you havent.

I too have an Alltec and was an Exel owner once. I can't possibly big up or slate any other machines other than the ones I have used myself. (The Alltec's a real belter of a machine...

The next machine I will buy (If not a TM) will the the Scorpion... They are easy to work on and service...
