thats the thing with window cleaning!one day earnings sky high!next zilch!then when you spread it out over 12 months its not as much as you think!! ::) ;D ;D

still it beats working for someone else!my record is £250 on my own for 7 hours a few months  ago.mainly wfp.

im sure over the next few years i can make it the norm for a days pay.

Hi daz - what you say is so true - a trick I've learned is to look at my average over a month. I assume that generally there are 20 available days for work out of 30 and I try and make sure that when I am on say the 7th of the month then I have at least turned over £700 and when I am on the 17th I'm on £1700 and so on.

This means I have to average £150 for all working days and to do that, what with weather and short days due to failing light then I have to do appreciably more on good days.

Works for me ... but I speak as an owner operator with no helpers at the mo'.

It's a game of three halves!

Why would you want Turkish Delight with your burger?

  I prefer fries with mine.

I agree with you on this one. My first two days this week I've gone like the clappers knowing that today and possibly tomorrow I may not be able to work.

My missus suffers with that, but she is gonna help me a couple of days a week next year as at the minute she does 16 hours a week in a hotel and comes out with less than £100 so its not great so using her tax allowance alone we would be better off!!

Plus its free labour :) Is it not better for you to pole everything though? surely its a nightmare working under dripping windows ?

its got its ups and downs, but its good for keeping the profits in house. it was great when we 1st started as she would do the fronts and i would do the backs, but she cant cope with that anymore. ive also taken one section off the xtel pole to make it lighter for her.
