do any of you fancy a taking me out with you for a day to learn wfp i haven't started up yet still looking for a van/system but have been on here for about a month taking it all in.
I am based j26 m25 but i am willing to travel a little distance say 50-60 miles

you will pick up a lot of information from watching local wfp cleaners
look at the height their cleaning
the distance from the building etc
note the type of pole/brush
and the way they clean (some are crap have all the gear but cant use it)
If your just starting out use the aerial brush woth a CF pole forget anything else

its so hard i cant find anyone local enough to me to watch/go out with for the day. and i'm new to this so trying to take it all in. but everyone has a different opinion im getting told get van with bigest tank system by some and backpack by others. aerial brush woth a CF pole/sill brush with slx pole???
its so hard i think i have just got to go with what me and my pocket thinks best lol

when i started wfp, i looked at videos on you tube they arnt great but give you an idea, and then when i got m y system just practiced on my house and my parents house, it doesnt take long until you start to become comfortable with it.

Buy the best equipment that you can afford.
I started with a trolley because it suited my budget but a van mount is better.
Forget backpacks, they're for spraying your roses not window cleaning.

I would take any help offered to you even if it means 3 hr drive and day out not much when you think how much you will learn.I dont think watching videos on youtube can compare to hands on experience and you can look at there system,I would snap theyre hand off for free advice.

It's less than an hour from the Dartford crossing if the M25 and M23 are reasonable with traffic.
I think you are making a mistake in declining offers due to the travel involved.  The time and cost involved would be repaid in the first couple of weeks.
BTW.  For equipment I suggest a van mount of minimum 500 litres and a van that can take it (more is better for when you get larger commercial jobs but 500 should be fine for most purposes).  Plus a backpack for the odd job that is difficult or unsafe to access by hose.  Get one with a moulded carry handle.
I wouldn't pay you for the day but that's only fair IMO because showing you the ropes would slow me down - which I wouldn't charge you for.

thanks for all the offers guys I really appreciate all the help I have been getting from this site.

And you are right 3 hours shouldn't be to far to travel for this learning opportunity but iv'e just sold my truck to fund this van/system that I haven't got yet so am driving about in a ford ka i paid £100 for.
i hope i haven't come acrosss ungrateful to the offers i have declined dew to distance but I am worried about reliability of the car.

as for the system i have decided i am going to get a swb low roof transit and put a 750ltr tank in the back cheaper than the 650ltr. i'm going to make my own frame up for it. still undecided weather to go with the merlin r/o or hf5 40/40

Good to hear that Mark has got sorted at long last. When I started I went to spend a day with Mr H from Devon (Hes a moderator on Peters forum) I gained some great experience and from time to time if Ive got a question I will phone him knowing that he'll always know the answer.
