IBC's in the van?

Has anyone got an IBC fitted in their van? If so, how have you secured it?

Theres more to having an IBC than just securing it, you will need to baffle it as well

here is a pic of mine before the refit
i used ratchet straps from corner to corner
when i bought the van in 2006 i asked for the braking strain of the anchour points in the van and was told that they could each take a ton ,so with that in mind and some big straps off i went
four years later the thing still had not moved it had 600 ltrs in most days

you will need to baffle it though with lenghts of land drainage pipe
works a treat

Yes, I understand about baffling the tank from previous posts, but thanks for the advice.
As regards the refit you mentioned, are you still using the rachet straps?

no not now new tank and overhall of the van to fit gutter cleaning kit
it was well used before the re fit though
started to drive me mad lol ;D

The anchor points might take a ton,.. but in a crash, the forces on your tank can be up to 50 times as great as the weight of water,. eg 50 tonnes. A metal cage secured to the chassis is a much safer option, and most engineering companies will weld something up for under £500.
