Any ideas on this fella`s ? My tds meter is showing readings of
Anywhere between 150 and 350 ppm on some untreated rainwater
That I`ve collected yesterday.Yet some rainwater that I`ve put thru`
My resin to `polish`down to 000ppm shows a reading of,,,,,,000ppm !
I took the batteries out,left the tds meter at normal room temperature
For a few minutes,still there`s the eratic readings.My normal reading
For collected untreated rainwater is 000 ppm to 003 ppm.
Can`t understand it,do ya recon the batteries need changing or what ?
Bearing in mind the resin treated rainwater shows 000ppm.

P.S.  The tds meter is a few years old with the original batteries.

Buy or borrow another tds meter to compare or take/post a sample of some water to another meter. I doubt that your rainwater has changed that much.

You will need some calibration fluid like this

then, depending on what make/type of meter you have, you adjust the setting screw to get the correct reading
