wrapped or written?
« on: November 10, 2010, 10:04:32 pm »
For those who have got vans that are signed up (nothing wrong with mondeos or peagots!) what if anything would you add or subtract from the text? Would you do it differently if/when you do it again? Am I right in thinking that sign written is different to wrapped?

Tom

ps. I've currently got magnets on a peagot  :D

this is wrapping

sign writing is just wording stuck to van

nudity would subtract from the text

what I was hoping to find out was if you've got a signed up van do you wish you'd put more or less text on it, simpler or more complicated design. Did you do the design yourself or pay someone else to come up with it?

nothing wrong with a peagot Terry  ;D, just can't carry much water.

u can have the worlds best looking van, and not get any work,  have a crap escort van and have too much,   personally i would just sign write the van, and spend the extra money that u would of spent on a wrap on marketing and getting more work

You send the content to the designer/printer and they e-mail you back examples of how it would look on a mock up of your van/car. I had a Movano done, front sides and back for £99.00.
They send you the stuff out in the post and you "peel & stick" after cleaning the van first! I would go for this as your first option, easier and cheaper to do, plus easier to peel off when you want to sell/change the van.

only thing with magnets is you have to take them off at night. A signed van is always advertising.

Weve had both, wrap looks great but costs a bit mind, it is getting cheaper as becoming more popular ...

i think its down to personal choice regards this.

if you have a motor with a few dings n dents then a wrap can cover it up very well.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU HAVE TO TAKE THEM OFF AT NIGHT TOM?? ??? ???

the only times i take the magnets off is when i wash the van or i did take them off while i was on the motorway at 6am due to the very strong winds and rain!!i thought they might blow off!!

They'd get nicked or end up in a ditch. It's no hassel to take them off but my feeling is though a simply signed, clean van looks better. My magnets don't come off in the rain or wind, they're better than the vista print ones - so there.
