needed a slightly bigger pole today than the one I normaly carry. my other poles were on the other vans so got my very first pole i ever bought out of moth balls.

A 25' Aluminium Omnipole.   I cant believe I bought that    More to the point, I cant belive I worked with just it on its own for 18 months. Its soooooooo heavy.

Is there anything you now look back and think  "I cant believe I bought that"  If only I knew what I know now!!!

When i first started I bought an Ionics 45' glass fibre pole. Cant believe how heavy it is. I've been using carbon poles for the past few years and thnk I woulds really struggle if I had to swap back!

1/2 inch hose at a £1 a meter as supplied by the waterfed pole systems.  Microbore may wear a little faster but why buy anything bigger.  Oh and a six section (5 ft sections) universal gf pole, super bendy super heavy, I only ever used it a handful of times.

Same thing really.  I used a 24ft Omnipole as my standard pole for well over my first year - until my shoulder and elbow started giving me grief.  I'm not saying they are bad poles.  They do have a use.  However, for me anyway, they are not suitable as an every day standard window cleaning pole.

Forgot about that! I had the same. Could only fit 50m on the reel. Now I've got 100m of microbore on the same reel.

Biggest regret was buying shurflo pumps and a varistream controller. Only use Flojet pump with an on off switch. My one Flojet pump is still in use after several years with no problems. Gone through 4 pumps with shurflo in the same time. Best thing i did was ditch the varistream controller.

Best thing I ever did was buy a shurflo pump with digital varistream!

I've just been having a big clear out in our garage as we've now got a "proper" unit for all our stuff, whilst in there I found a 36' omnipole that we bought a few years ago with 16" head. 

It's still in very good condition, with a great clamping system, I may keep it as a back up or might put it on ebay and see what happens.

Make me an offer!

I have a shed half full of WFP stuff I wish I hadn't bought, the other half is full of stuff I think may come in handy some day.

250 litre tank, then 650 and 400l on a skid...now put the 650 back in the van...650 is a good capacity for me lets me have the increased flow which I prefer.

25ft universal g.f....used that for about 6 months...not fun...


1st buy was a Freedom trolley....now the pump box's controller went belly up...I now have the trolley back in the van used a a pump box...Good ol Freedom trolley back out working again.

the 2 extra sections on the teleplus extension pole(never really needed them)but that can double up as a spare emergency back up 30 ft pole if needed.

everything else ive bought has been worth the money IMO.I did a lot of research on here before i bought a lot of my gear though.
