any one use a transit connect if so how many miles to a full tank of fuel you getting i got a 400ltr tank in mine it pulls fine but i rekon its not good on fuel thanks guys

i have a connect but i have only had it a couple of weeks, but i have done 270 mile and there is still 1/4 tank left. The tanks are 60 liters but the fuel light come on where there are still 20 liters left in the tank, so when the fuel light comes on you can get another 80-100 miles out of the tank.

what is your doing to the gallon then?

well when the light came on i filled it and got 256 miles untill the light came on again i dont think thats that good 54 quid to fill it

that works out 25mpg. which does sound pretty poor.

its a 03 plate tdci the ci bit is red if that makes a differance

my mates got one he rekons he getting 60mpg thats why i down sized to one i just as well have the bigger van again

maybee its the weight in the back then but that is pretty pants really like i say its the same price to insure as a bigger van same price to tax so may as well have a bigger van again i rekon

The tax on my connect if £115 a year, I thought that was cheap

the insurances went belly lately .mine gone up nearly 60%
what connect do you use swb or lwb?i have a doblo payload 750kg and i get about 43-45 mpg with 400l tank ,mostly town driving

its the lwb one t230 lx the tax was the same on my bigger transit

TDCi - it was nearly all m/way driving and barely got 30 to the gallon with virually nothing in the back
that is currently the main reason for not getting one otherwise i think size/payload would be ideal WFP size

my 230lx tdci did 37mpg going from stansted to birmingham empty, then back again with my new system fitted and that was doing 80 all the way.

That is exactly what my doblo 1.3 diesel gives with the same water (400L) I can just about get 500 miles from a full tank.

This Is one of the reasons I went with a vw caddy.
I saw alot about these vans not having the best mpg. Figures of around 28 where the average. Some down to about 23 when full.

That is exactly what my doblo 1.3 diesel gives with the same water (400L) I can just about get 500 miles from a full tank.

Same here, 1.3 multijet-D- economy with monster torque! With no water in tank I can get 60mpg if I try or around 53mpg normal driving.
