Black Marks on Vinal Flooring
«
on:
September 24, 2005, 04:24:44 pm »
On my kitchen flooring I am getting loads of black marks.
All the usual houshold products will not remove them.
Been through a variety of cleaning agents No Luck.
Tried Carpet Cleaning traffic lane
BEEN ON MY HANDS AND KNEES AND SCRUBED.
Tried jiff.
Any other ideas?

hi there,
is this a roll vinyl floor, or vinyl tiles.
there is a possibility that if it is a roll vinyl floor,
the question is have the black marks just started to appear?
ive seen this in the past, where unkown to you, moisture has got underneathe the flooring and the black marks start to come through the floor.
if however you can feel the balck marks on top of the floor, ie scuff marks, then these should lift.

What is on your kitchen floor you don’t say or do you? But you have tried soft and hard floor cleaning agents, typical customer, which you are not! Don’t see the need to pop at a brand.
Scuff marks are easy removed on hard floors, unless a problem with the batch type, then that would have show up very quickly, your sub floor may also be questionable

Len ,
It was not a pop at the brand just that i had tried Stone Cleaner this afternoom Even if is sheet Vinyal
The Pattern looks as if its Ok this is just a black stain that appears to be spredding.
Thought it might have been shoe polish at first but there is far two much for that.
Not scuff marks never seen anything like it.
My last idea is that a long time ago I put some Kleer polish on it maybee this has caused a black mark.
So I am going to try amonia solution.
If that does not work I will have to replace it

hi there
Ian
you say its spreading, i strongly reommend that you have a look under the vinyl, i think it might be damp from a leak somewhere.

Renewed her floor,
Plaster.
Decorated her kitchen Utility and Dinning room.
She said thinks always go wrong for her.

hi there,
ian
we are moving in several different directions at the present time.
flood and fire work being one of those directions, we did a school the other weekend, great work.
the core business remains the same, but further expansion and investment is more than likely to be channeled in that direction.
