where are people getting the idea from that a brand new van with full graphics will get them work , IN ALL HONESTY how much work as your sign /graphic written van got you ?
IF you seriously think about the outlay for sign/graphic will you be any better off than having a plain van ?
I found word of mouth to be the best advert whats your thoughts ?

Reccomendation is always the best form of advertising, but £120 spent on signwriting will also get you more work,i get people asking for qoutes when im at the petrol station filling up or tescos carpark, any advertising helps.

My signage cost £150 3 years ago and has more than paid for itself. People know who you are and what your business is with a sign written van.

Word of mouth. However, I changed vans recently - same colour but larger and different make. I didn't think any of my customers would notice any difference. I would say 95% spotted the upgrade straight away simply because I had no sign writing.
I would definitely recommend it - years of advertising 24/7 for a smallish outlay. To put an ad in our local free paper for example is £180 for eight weeks.

95% of our work comes via sign written vans. We always ask: 'How did you hear about us?' and it's nearly always 'saw one of your vans'
Even when I was a OMB I used to get most of my enquiries from people having seen the van, then looked on the website, then phoned me.

What are the chances of me seeing your contract Ian?
Virtually zero i suppose.
What if i could show you something of equal- maybe even greater- value?
I'm just asking Ian.Two brains are better than one and all that.

i got my transit written for £100, it paid for itself in 2 days!! So far its not bought in loads of work, and am sure you can get quite a bit of work without it, but it does keep a steady stream of enquires at least coming in.

Always getting asked for a card , because they have read whats on the van,...
when i had a white van and disappeared round the back of a house, i could have been anybody doing any job....
With my van sign written , people know who i am,and what i do, and it does tend to look a little more professional.
And my customers know when i am on the street.
Also , i am no longer a white van man.!
