New pair of boots, and they are white at the end of the day....

only just started using resin , could this be anything to do with it?

Old boots fine (no resin)...

Or are they simply a duff pair,?

polishing them only lasts an hour before they start turning chalky white.

They have always got wet , without going white.

this has bn mentioned a few posts back .it happens on certain fabrics olso.

I don't think its to do with resin, although it could speed up the process, I have seen leather boots do this a lot but when being worn constantly in water i.e. two weeks on a sodden trench in the peeing rain, and a right good dollop of polish nice and thick would bring them back to good, I would guess the leather is pretty naff if its happening already for what we do, my boots haven't seen polish in six months and haven't turned white

The white is salt from you.
Clean em up with white vinegar m8

Its salt in the leather used in the tanning process.

Its a strange one, new boots ,the same as the  old ones which  were fine !
