Problems with Resin not lasting very long

My tap tds is 254 and i put it through a 6.4litre di vessel only. We live in a hard water area and i am only getting about 400 litres of pure water before the resin has had it!!! Is this right? It is costing a fortune!!

thought you had to have a R/O unit in a really hard water area

u need a ro,  other wise you will spend a fortune on resin

get an RO.

I spent two years paying for resin and have tds same as yours bought a merlin RO in June and haven't had to change resin since.

well worth the initial pay out.  ;)

After you get the RO system try D A resin one of the excellent things to come out of Scotland. Excellent service as well.
