i been doing a bungalow for about 18 months. now owner has pointed out a smear on her kitchen window, first complaint in 18 months as i felt she was a valued customer i said i would do the next clean for free, which i knew was to much of a give-a-way.
any how the next time i was due i didnt go....simply because she said she wouldnt  pay if there was smear. i stress it was just one smear on one window.
so i thought i could replace her custom with someone else..

but was not sure if i had done the right thing or not ??..... i was just so offended

9 times out of 10 the offending smear is on the inside, and i just love it when that happens, always bright red faces after, plus i always say, "no extra charge for that " loves it  ;D

what a terrible attatude you have to your customers,  a paying customer of 18 months and when they point something out you tell them a pack of lies by saying the next clean will be free and then you just dont bother to turn up ?

you obviously have no pride in your work because any normal window cleaner would have gone round and put it right.

are you one of these do it for beer money w/cs who just cant be arsed going back to put right your poor service and thats exactly what it is a really poor service.

you say you felt offended because this PAYING customer who has PAID for a service she didn't receive ?

you shouldn't feel offended mr  you should feel ashamed on how you have treated this customer.

no wonder w/cs get such a bad name with people like you in the business

what a pathetic reply

this customer has been paying this bloke for 18 months without any complaints,   and as soon as she points something out his ego is crushed and he doesn't go back again

sounds like you and him are pikeys

yeah i agree with bfg, at least go and see the complaint, you cant just think she has the problem.

i did have one customer who i went back to about 5 times over 3 years, youve got to give them a chance. i did stop going to mine, then i get a call when are you coming to do my windows, so i thought ok i will take you on again, then she dumped me. ha ha,. i think she wanted to have the satisfaction!

Calm down Mr BFG!!
Youre right about his attitude though.
You shouldve gone back to look and if it was down to you just put it right! if youre paid to clean the windows then thats what you do!
If ever i have a problem with a custy i sort it asap as i want my reputation to be good and reliable, this isnt i high pressure complicated job so i dont see the point of making a problem out of nothing!!
Im not scared of heights, just falling from them.

I am calm mate,    I just tell it how it is,

like you said if a customer has a complaint you go back straight away and sort it out,  just like I would do if it happened to me,     not run away and never come back.

its not that hes a newbie as he said he has been cleaning this persons house for EIGHTEEN MONTHS

what he does forget is that 1 customer can soon tell others of a poor service and his reputation could really be  on the line,   and what would that do for his ego

another thing is, dont clean the whole house for free over one dirty window, just clean the dirty window!

do you what,  there is a good chance the smear may actually be on the inside,   but by running away from the problem and feeling sorry for himself he wont find out.
