Hi I am eventualy going to get a machine. After much deliberation I decided to go for a Ninja and am going up on tuseday to collect it and attend the 1&2 course. I havn't got a vacuum yet and am a bit unsure wat to get. The sebo seem to be the thing to get, but ashbys do a dry vac wand which uses the solution as a filter. I think It looks quite good but wondered if anyone has tried it out or got one and how does it rate in comparison with the sebo.

I have the dry vac you have asked about its good, but ties up the machine when the lad could be vacing and you could be cleaning other than that its ok you do need the third vac on the ninja to make it work properly though.

Just wondered though is there a ninja with three vacs? I thought the most they do is 2 3stage inline?

Cant see it on there site but are you referring to the dust downer (vac hose with a water attachment) I used one a few years ago think it cost me £50quid customer (goldman sachs) only wanted it Vacuumed  (it’s sitting somewhere in one of my garages I take £30quid for it and I’m local to ashby’s)

Ashbys do a separate vac which clips on to the handle connecting to
the vent outlet, this sells for around £600

With all the negative posts about the Ninja and Ashby's in particular why buy from them
i never went to Ashbys once without parting with several hundred pounds

I used my Ninja every day for nearly 3 years and never had a problem, until 2 days after I picked up a new machine - then one of the vacs went.

Irrespective of customer service, the Ninja is a good machine and perfect for someone starting up.

I'm with Steve on this.
Have got the top spec Ninja and one vac went 3 weeks ago
after 18 months of use.
The Steamate has just started blowing fuses so will have to
get that sorted but even without that it's a well built, durable
piece of kit.
It's quite light as well compared to some.
But has anybody got the dry vac?

IMO the ninja is the ford transit of the portys a good work horse and i have used my local washing machine repair man in the past when i get stuck to repair it

i would not take my old transit back to fords for a service just the same

Steve i usually agree with pretty much all you say but i do not agree with you
this time how can you say irrespective of customer service as a newstarter you need good relations and service like no other time, there are plenty of great machines where the service is equally good. if the Ninja was head and shoulders above the competition then you might have  a valid point, its a good machine i know i had one its powerfull but nothing like the triple vac Airflex or the other triple vac machines Scorpion and the Alltec one,which i understand are as powerful, but the service at Ashbys is second rate to what i have experienced with Cleansmart/ solutions/ restoremate and Alltec  they know the meaning of keeping a customer happy creating further business rather than the fast buck attitude.

What I meant to say was, irrespective of the poor customer service, the Ninja is a good machine.

You had bad luck with your Ninja and you went to the suppliers direct, presumably because you didn't have any other contacts.

I have had no such problems with my Ninja, which I bought from new, consequently I have never had to go back to the suppliers, nor would I.

I never said the Ninja was head and shoulders above the competition, I said it is a good machine and perfect for someone starting up - furthermore, when I bought my Ninja, there was no triple vac Alltec machine or Airflex (the Scorpion was available).

I agree with you completely regarding customer service, that's why I use Restormate and Solutions for my day to day requirements.

The attacment actualy looks quite easy to make up from numatic components at a fraction of the cost.

I quite like the idea of using water from the tank then I dont have to replace the dust bag on the vac, or carry another peice of kit around.

The balance of cost and performance along with potential upgrades at a later date is the reason I got the ninja. Im not really too fussed about the cost of servicing etc, and customer service. After all its not rocket science a carpet cleaner is just a plastic box with a solution pump and two vac motors.

Sorry I forgot about the add on. Not sure if il be getting one of those in a hurry. Has anyone got one? does it make £600 worth of difference?
