if you arnt vat registered, then you just put down the phone bill total including the vat
whatever your bills are, phone, petrol, insurance, work equipment, they all include vat. They are a work expence and you claim the bill total inclusive of vat. The only time you start messing about with vat is if you are vat registered, then you can claim back ll the vat you have paid too.So if your phone bill is £100 inc vat, then you put £100 on your tax return

Orange billed me £2500 for 1 MONTH. Thieving scum-bags told me if I switched from Voda to them they'd save me money every month on calls and texts then neglected to point out that they were charging me £3 per MB for data usage.
