Over the last 5-6 years I have said this a number of times -

I think some people on here either have a dodgy watch or cannot tell the time.

14 seconds to clean a front room window? I am sorry but that is bollacks

No its not.
I see some people cleaning windows taking 3 whole minutes on a pane of glass! thats just crazy!
14 seconds is easily achievable.

Maybe you're just a slow window cleaner?

Far from slow Richy, just not Billy whizz, I regularly clean in excess of 20 houses a day and earn very well from it, day in day out.

However I do not believe it is possible to clean a front room window to a good standard in 14 seconds, if you can, well good luck to you, but without seeing it, I don't believe it.

thanks to the feedback on here i tried out on 4 houses other day a sped up clean whilst ensuring the clean was still good and omg how excited was i at the prospect of now seriosly being able to think i will be able to achieve 150-200 quid a day.

eg
2 bed semi easy access inc unpack and pack and clean (maintenance one 4 weekly) 20 minutes inc getting paid at the door.

basically ive reduced the time it takes by over 50% on all 4 i did the other day and 2 i done this morning a bungelow with conny and a 2 bed semi each took 20mins

SO A BIG THANKYOU TO ALL ADVICE ON THREADS HERE - YOU WILL HAVE MADE ME A RICHER MAN FINANCIALLY - WELL HAPPY - BIG THANKYOU AGAIN!!!! ;D

some frosted glass small windows i can clean in 10 seconds inclu wiping the sill.the front room one with 2 openers would be more like 60 seconds on regular maintenance cleans(90 seconds if their in!).that means a good scrub of the whole window and frames and a rinse off the glass with a wipe of the sill.

its real easy after the first few initial cleans IMO.of course bird muck/pollen/etc could hold me up a bit!

dont compare yourself with other window cleaners!we all have very different rounds/prices/compact/scattered etc.if you happy with your working days speed and money earned then dont worry!! ;D ;D ;D

I can clean a box standard house in 5 mins if i want to rush around like an idiot but most of the places I clean aren't box standard so they take much longer.

Just make sure you clean the top frame and top part of window thoroughly as that is where the majority of dirt is clinging.

So long as you scrub each window thoroughly to shift the dirt the rinse is as quick as the waterflow and just go over any imperfections in the sheeting where bits remain. You'll find yor own comfortable speed and confidence with time.
