help needed /pump problem
« on: October 18, 2010, 05:18:05 pm »
hi all

got a bit of a problem. my pump/controller is playing up, when i turn on the water the pump comes on for 2 seconds then cuts out for 5 seconds then comes on again for 2 seconds and on and on the same.  but if i disconnect the hose from the hose reel( so the water just runs on to the floor) the pump works perfect ???.  ive checked the hose reel for kincks but its all ok. and the slx hose is fine no blockages.  so iam a bit stuck. any ideas please??

mark you probably have a blockage in the pump just disconnect the hoses to the pump and give a good blow this worked for me you do have to clean them out on a reg basis say every 3wks or so

It could be a number of things mark. I would start with making sure the battery has enough charge. Then if you have electrical spade connections to the pump check they are pushed in tightly and not loose. If not any of them I would try unscrewing the impeller on the top of the pump and check for debris and flush out under kitchen tap.
Try that first.
