Take a deep breath and get to it.

The sucess rate is lower at this time of year, and the rejection/objection can be more animated. IE your mad if you think I am avin em done this time of year...etc. This can get spirits down a bit, and some will get fed up or even give up completely.

On the bright side, now is the time of year that you will find the quality reliable customers that will stay through thick and thin.

Grow some balls and a thick skin, get out knocking and dropping and pull together some good work.
if it is dirty it is fair game

thanks for the kick up the arse! lol!

My theory is that hopefully some of the windys that appeared during the summer months will disappear when winter hits! There have been 6 set up on my estate alone, one charging £1.50 for fronts only £3.50 all round!

This time of year is really a bit of hit and miss!but don`t let that put you off,,  if you are determined you will get customers,

You will find that the run up to xmas quite a lot of customers will want them done for xmas, now some will stay with you some will not! Once you get them it`s then up to you to try and turn thoses customers into regulars! Cleaning the windows is only just the start, you then need to sell yourself, price right,  and form a bond with the customers in order to keep them long term.

What I read on forums is people get downhearted if they are not getting many customers when canvassing and give up! Maybe they are expecting to much,
Some will target 100+  in 3/6 months which is reasonable to expect others will target 300+ which is harder to get doing it yourself, but can be done with 2/3 people,
Depends in what you are after if you where to canvass every night and get just 1 customer a night you would have a least 365+ customers by this time next year!
More important is to do a good job and soon customers will hear about you and they will come to you!
Then almost every time you are out cleaning windows you will be picking up more and more work through recommendation take your time and get them gleaming speed will come in time.

And don`t worry about the other cheap cleaners you do your job right and customers will stay with you.

Hi Jason, the trick is,don't second guess people. In other words, don't expect them to react in any certain way. Just knock and ask. Try it with this attitude; "Some will, some won't, so what" and you will get results. Time of year, weather etc  etc etc, Makes little or no difference.Everyone has a story to tell if you know what I mean.
