Bad day
« on: October 16, 2010, 06:06:11 pm »
Ever have one of those days where nothing seems to go right!
Dropping things, spilling drinks, stub your toe, kids playing up more than usual and everyone seems to annoy you.  ;D

Priced up a job approx. 3 weeks ago in the evening (dark) with dim lighting in the rooms, noticed a few stains which custy claimed to be tea, coffee, coke, etc.
Did the usual explaining "I can't gaurantee the stains will be removed" Happy with the price she booked for today.

Can't be sure if it was like it on price up because of the lighting but when I got there today I felt like walking, staining all over every room including makeup, paint & large patches of yellow staining (they had a dog ::))  Which she was claiming were just drink spillages.

It was a real pig of a job, 4 storey townhouse and as mentioned nothing seemed to be going right. None of the yellow staining would come out along with a few others despite exhausting my spotting kit.

Anyway end of the job I show the customer around and explain what I couldn't get out, "ah well I'm sure you tried your best" she says repeating that they were only drink spillages.
I pack away and go back for payment,
"shall we call it £xxx seeing as you couldn't get the stains out" she says.
"no we won't" I told you I can't gaurantee all the stains would come out.
"But it doesn't look great with the yellow stains all over it" she says
"Well if you didn't let your dog p**s all over the place" I said
"Its not wee, its tea, coffee and coke" she said (Funny how they were all exactly the same colour  ::))

Had enough so we came to a compromise where I knocked some off but not as much as she wanted.
Don't think she'll be recommending me  ;D

Rant over!

If you can taken a black light with you the place would have lit up like Blackpool iluminations.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

Paul - I don,t know you but we  have all been there -  the only word in the English language is  F..K

Rhonan Cameron ( comic -) said" its rains ,life is poop sometimes, JUST sometimes ,  that's just the way it is"
No way to make you feel better but  you are not alone.
My Advise
Get a huge bottle of Brandy - drink the lot watch , h The Life of Brian - have a cup of coffee and  then watch a re run of The Antiques Road show - trust me works a  peach .
