Would you Adam and eve it....it's 2.6 deg outside....do you think it's gunna be another cold one this year?

I'm still wearing shorts here in leafy berkshire and I was out for my hour long walk at 05.15 this morning.

Got heavy frost here Dave. :( Got some winter service contracts set up this year though. Another Brit in the next city.

We can work down to minus 6 but Feb is normally a freeze for about 2 or 3 weeks. Reckon we are sorted this year  :)

Nothing we can do about it so may as well get on with it! Winter of 1980 (last really cold one) was followed by a mild one so maybe we get lucky.

Last winter was coldest one since 1980. Point I was making that the winter of 1980 was immediately followed by a mild one (according to stats I saw) so shouldn't assume it's going to be as bad as last year.

I have had the heating on all week , polo tshirt, sweatshirt and jacket all week, close to digging out the long johns and gloves and hat, even had to put the heating on the van on this week

it felt a wee bit warmer out there today when I went for my walk at 06.05      diced to have an extra half hour in bed this morning as woke up with 3 legs  ;D ;D ;D
