oh I cant resist teasing you a bit more/project x

Project x info

1. if you door knock you might get some customers, although i believe one that comes to you is stronger than one hunted by door knocking, plus its your time doing it, whats that worth to you.

2. if you spend thousands a year on leafleting like I do at the moment you might get some customers.

3. if you advertise on yell, in the paper, local business book, and so on, you might get some customers for the money you spent

4. if you pay a small fortune to a canvassing company you you might get some well priced strong customers, or you might get mucked around.

YOU MIGHT GET SOME CUSTOMERS!!

sure all of these methods do work, i know ive done them, but they all have down sides dont they.

imagine that EVERY pound you spent got you a well priced strong customer and that it didnt cost you anything close to 3x a clean value. that concept is the foundation of what im trying to do.

just so you know ive spent £8000 this year on leafleting, did every pound get me a customer? hell no!

hey in the end its a new thing and may or may not work i really dont know at this time. If it doesnt work i would rather have tried and failed than not tried at all and would have only been my money wasted.

keep you eyes peeled over the next week as stage 1 will unfold soon.

r u doing sort of what window washer is doing,  bu then charging for the jobs,  a bit like an agency?

if your spending 8 grand on leaflets and they aint bringing a lot of work in,  i wouldnt bother leafleting

doc, i use to do leaflets hoping it would bring in work,  it brought some in,  but have picked up more  knocking doors,  know i just use my flayers as business cards,   the amount of areas i have leafleted and not got any thing,  then knocked and pick some up   for example  leaflets a road  got 1   been doing it 9 months  knocked yesterday got 8,  wont waste my money on leaflets again,  would rather spend the time knocking

Very interested in your plan Lee,

Keep us up to date with your plan. I have something similar in the pipeline... Just waiting to see what comes of it ;)

I enjoy doing my own canvassing as many do, all it costs is time, and its a quick way to build custom.  And for commercial custom then cold calling seems to be the best attack.
There are a few that will buy rounds, but these are established rounds. Selling on new enquiries is going to be very different but I wish you good luck with it, if it works out then it'll be a nice extra bonus.

I will be selling customers that have.

come to us of their own accord

decided on the frequency they want

been priced up and agreed to it

have understood info on wfp, gutter vac, jet washing and so on

have understood they will be getting a cleaner that covers their local area

they will be sold for 1-1.5x a clean value, after that its up to the cleaner to make of them what they will.

  Hi Lee
keep me int the loop as well. Trying everything at the minute without much success , like you say bits and bobs but usually doesnt justify the expense or hastle.

  Doctor windows.

Do you mean 10 k per annum from your campaign, or 10 k of order value cos i

dont get anything like the latter for 10000 leaflets could feasibly get a 100 customers if as you say your canvassing after to follow up that would give you 10 k plus per annum with monthly clients?

cheers

maybe let other window cleaners put jobs up for sale on the website if your having one, and offer a commison payment of 30-50% of the sale price. i know there is already a place to sell whole rounds but what about the single jobs that are not in your area  ???

So a £300 guttervac job would cost me up to £450? As a lot of guttervac jobs are one offs, it wouldn't be worth my while doing it for £150.

Or am I getting the wrong end of the stick ???

my advice is get out there and find your own work by canvassing and leaflets!im well established so ive got plenty of work most of the time.i normally just take on work through recommendation nowadays although i will canvass a road if i get one new custy in a area i dont clean.

I think it is a great idea Lee,

and I will provide the same for anyone thats interested should I get any customers in different areas for last 3/4 years I have given them away for free.

im not going to do more than that though, so Lee im not interested in being competition to you.

I have a job in Luton Gutter cleaning if anyones interested already priced £100 for the cleaner.

Sorry to hijack lee

A good question and yes I have an answer to that, which of course I cant say right now, but I will say that your asumption is wrong and you would be well in the money.

Want 10000 pounds worth of work per year from it.but that includes the 10000 houses canvassed after.
This is only really 100 houses and 10 pounds  a custy.
So anything above that I will be very happy.
Plus hoping to pull in lots of other work like driveway cleaning.gutter and conny work

Lee, I admire anyone who tries to bring a resolution to anything.

But your not actually saying what your doing, so the plan is speculative - nobody can make an informed choice/decision.  Once its in the bag and up and running you would be better talking about it.  Titbits dont help, but I wish you luck and hope everything works out.
