like others on here,in my previous job i worked countless Saturdays in the past and THATS THE PAST , not for me now.  i Enjoy my weekends ,once ive flung my squeegee into my bucket on Friday afternoon im switched off from the work .

i work some saturdays and even the ocassional sunday but only half days,9 till 2.30 or so 10 till 2 sunday.but i do take days of during the week a lot due to being quite lazy.I also have a severe drink problem and absolutely no life whatsoever so makes no difference to me.

i learnt the hard way :oworked 7days a week for 13years and when i got divcored i had nothing to show from it,apart from my self and clothes i was in.



so i learned the hard way,if i do work its for 1-3hrs max,when the family getting ready.which aint often.

I didn't realize that it has become compulsory to work Saturdays if one has to avoid being labelled as lazy! For all you know I might work hard all week!

That said, I work maybe 3 out of 4 Saturday afternoons for around 3-4 hours  (the mornings are reserved for the 'more important things'.

I do however reserve the right to choose how and when I conduct my business

Starting your day's work 2 hours earlier would give you an extra 8 hours work in 4 days, meaning no more Saturdays for you either  :

No I wont, I allow for rainy periods, Ive got money put by for that ta muchly.

If it rains next week my concerns wont be financial, theyll be about getting motivated for when things are more suitable.

Well went to first job today (10.15) and was told this is my only day off can you come back monday?
my next job was next door so i put that one off, next job all in as cars on drive but wont open door, next one curtains all closed so still in bed wont open door.
Then gave up and came home!!

Can't see how you can work in the rain.

O.k, dodge in out of showers, very light rain maybe.

Pi55ed down nearly all day this friday; week before thurs and friday.

I always thought base your earnings on 4 day week, so you nearly always hit your o.t.e

i.e 6 potential work days a week (not sunday).

Unfortunately i have to do alot of school runs, it always seems to rain on thurs and fri when i have no school runs to do

I just can't see how you can work in the rain, and how customers willing have windows done.

It's like the thermo pure systems; not saying there good; but one of their selling points they like to push is work even in snow.

If the snow is bad like last winter then how are you gonna get to your custies?
you might smash your van up on the way to em.
Can imagine a lot of knock backs fom custies in snow as well as rain.

Our business is a very good one but unfourtanately like everything else it's not perfect, if it was everyone would be doing it
