Yellow pole hose.
« on: September 30, 2010, 08:43:46 am »
My new slx pole came with this yellow hose which looks and feels like electric cable. But I don't like it at all. Everytime I get pole from van there I am spending valuble minutes trying to unwind the damn thing. Even though after every job I gather it up and put on a hook in my van.

Therefore could someone recommend something else that doesnt kink, its flexible etc. My slx is 30ft. But I've got an extra 20ft to play with for when I'm using backpack.

im a bit surprised you are having problems with this hose i think its top quality and use 90 mtrs of it never had a kink .
facelift hose minght be ok for you , but i would give the yellow hose a bit longer and see if it gets any better with more use .

thats odd - i just took del of my new clx a few weeks ago and it came with this almost floresant yellow hose.

its the same pole hose that comes with the aqau dapter and i find it works well.

i also have the yellow pole hose gardiners sell seperately and thats ok to.

if i was you i would give the hose time to 'settle' - it may work fine after a while ...

wintecs also sell some good pole hose ... or try giving john hewitt a ring

Ive tried making loops bigger when rolling it in and must admit it does help. Still gets knotted though sometimes when far away from van.

I was not so sure about mine at first, but it seems to have settled down a bit now. Its not the best pole hose that I have had, but it is at least yellow.
if it is dirty it is fair game
