In the process of getting a website and wanting online payment. How do those who do it find it? Does it save collecting? Any tips on setting it up?

just give the customers who want to pay online your bank details and get them to transfer the money into your account!simple!no need for website!!

was getting the website anyway. Noticed others had an online payment page where the custy could pay and leave the address. Thought it was pretty nifty!

It works really well. Although most of my customers pay by online bank transfer.

I spent ages trying to perfect the code, this will do it very neatly.  It places text boxes for customer name, customer address and amount to pay on your webpage, and when the customer clicks "pay now" it takes them to the paypal payment page with those details already filled in.

If you just have a paypal link, you'll find custies forget or don't know how to fill in their own name and most importantly, their address, and you end up with random payments from unknown email addresses and no idea who their from.

I had nochex and paypal, although im a tight wad and used to wait for £50 to get in there so i didnt have to pay 50p to transfer it to my account, i just got rid of my nochex as sometimes id have £40 in on and £40 in other so i just use paypal. Its very easy to setup. Do you have a paypal account?

And of course i use online transfers, this is free and easy.

I think Nochex looks a bit more professional that PayPal as well.

Bank transfer... Doesn't cost a penny.

Two accounts... One money in, then transfer across. Get the name of the person who pays it (some partners pay bills - different name can be confusing)

My biz account shows the name and first line of the address automatically, where as the personal account I used before didn't.

This is the way I do it and it works well,
I looked at Paypal but they charge far to much, by the time i have taken off VAT and running costs, then to add Paypals cost I may as well not bother.

They dont need a paypal account either to pay by card on paypal. Paypal is known worldwide, nochex isnt.

Agreed.

 Online payments via paypal etc cost you money (small amount, but will add up over time). Giving customers bank details costs you zero!

i have paypal and have a lot of problems of people not being able to pay when they get past my payment page,  pae just says sorry, cant continue  please try again, yet some can pay, spoke to web designer and he cant find a problem,  yet when i try it, it wont let me pay either

I just tried your website, put in name, address, and how much, clicked pay now and tok me straight to paypal pay page mate, no issues there.
