« on: September 23, 2010, 10:11:54 pm »
im looking into having my window cleaning software on my phone. i currently use george and have a htc desire, but theyre not compatible. i need advice what to get, either what pda for george as there is so many out there and versions. also the george website says will not work on a pocket pc? i thought that was a pda?

is there better window cleaning software out there? and if not why not?

The only pda or phone's compatible with george are the one's which run the Palm operating system.

The older Palm phones are good but dated now, the new ones have an upgraded system which is no good. IE, the Palm Pre.

I stopped using Pocket George for this reason.

You can pick up a Pda off ebay for abot 50 quid, Just make sure it has the right operating software and you wont have any problems.

Its easier nowadays just to print the sheets from george,

then input back in in the evening,

its hassle during the cold winter days messing with it on the round.

takes ten mins in the evening,

the only one that works with htc (i have a htc) is wcp.

but i cant really see the point of having your work list on a phone etc, just print the list from the pc before you go out then edit at night from the paper you have filled in.

as i say i know wcp works really well with a htc, but why would you want to spend all that time on it looking up the next job then updating?

If you are worried about the ;aptop breaking or something then just backup on the web. That way its all there for you if the worst happened. I think George do an online backup I know wcp does but so would your internet provider.
