Sloping ground.
« on: September 23, 2010, 08:38:49 am »
Right I have been asked to clean a big house.  The driveway slopes away from the house by quite a bit.  What safety device should I get for this or should I just give it a swerve?

use a trad pole jonathan!dont risk it!i used to use a unger teleplus with squeegy/mop on the end.

ive used a ladderstopper before now but if its slippy as well as sloping i wouldnt risk it.

I hammer pegs into the ground if this is not possable I would tye base of ladder to the walls of the house, matts and pegs as well. Or use a sand bag.

I would absolutely second this.  If WFP not available, use a trad pole with hand tools.  I never fully trusted ladder stoppers myself.
