Don't do it Ian (unless you're going to pay someone else to do your oven cleaning operation).

It's truly vile work, with a top ticket price of about £60.   I was just discussing this with Andrew Evans on another forum, as we both used to run oven cleaning businesses and switched to carpet & upholstery.

Average Job = 2.5 to 3 hours

Average Rate = £50

Other nice things;   gas bottles in the back of your vehicle, heads in ovens in the summer.

........I shut my oven cleaning business side down 2 months ago and it's the best thing I ever done. cleaning ovens is the worst way to earn your crust. period.

I have used these guys to clean ovens they did an amazing job, but its filthy work, took this guy 3 hours and he charged £55

In January carpet cleaning seems to take a dip and the oven cleaning seems to pick up... at my stage in this game, making money's making money, it all goes in the TM pot

Cleaning protest cells is much worse than ovens but by golly is the money better
I hate oven cleans but ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it comes part and parcel of E.O.T cleans and there are ways and there are ways to clean an oven
Kitchen cleans are as bad but its all good stuff with the queens head on it at the end.
I can get one started, leave it for an hour or so come back and scrub the baked stuff off and wipe down in 30-45 mins
think of the money the pain soon fades

I was reading a Franchise  Mag and I thought it said it was typical to clean four or five ovens a day.

I do not think I will be adding it but you have to look at options

In this business there are guys in large houses swimming pools fleet of vans on golf course wearing medallions they cant all be using the business as a front for organised crime

3 ovens a day is my max as I have school runs to do and all that... But when the kids grow up a bit, 5 ovens a day is easily achievable... It really is easy when you know how....!

I don't think I'll stop offering the service when the time comes, I'd probably employ someone to do it, I can't understand why you'd just stop offering the service

I often get the carpet cleaning job simply because I can offer a good deal on the oven clean on EOT's...

And I must confess... I do actually enjoy oven cleaning..... I must be Bonkers
