Rug torn by Badger - FIXED!
« on: September 19, 2010, 09:19:36 pm »
This rug was torn by a competitor with an less-than-attentive technician running a Rug Badger on a woven Turkish rug... and it resulted in 8 major rips in the rug.

Thankfully for them... we do work for our competitors when they have a disaster.

More shots in my post about my mother's repair on this rug.  As if it never happened! =)

Hi Lisa

The Dave I was talking about is coming to see you this week. I just spoke to him and he is "over there". Wants to ask your mum a few questions about the repairs she does.

Nice job by the way.

So who is the best equivalent to Lisa's mum, in the UK.

Have been faced with this problem even before I've started cleaning them - Rug Badger or no Rug Badger

Probably Dave Liahona Paul. Well I say that but he seems to be able to repair anything.

Franklins are cheap compared to most, but they have an elitist attitude I get many a customer because of their phone manner.

There are probably dozens of individuals around the country who repair rugs, carpets and upholstery as part of their everyday work.

Just found a dozen in less than 5 minutes !

Robert is right, there are loads of rug repairers, many of them from generations of rug repairers.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

The lady that worked there when I worked at Franklins was a seemstress by real trade, she said that rug repair was dead easy compared to that.
