Hi all,

Is it legal or do you need a licence of some sort....

Its perfectly legal, you are promoting your business.
Some areas however do have signs up saying "no door to door selling" etc.
In those areas I usually put a leaflet through but dont knock.
In general I have found door knocking more succesful than just leaflet dropping when canvassing.

it is legal, but some areas u need  a license from the direct sales associations but u should be ok for canvassing, it is manily to stop bogus door sales men, as long as you are uniformed up with flyers then u shouldnt have any problems,  the worst thing that can happen is u get told to move on by the police
