Just for the record this was the result for the poll with only 3 options:

Never touch them with a barge pole, if I get the idea a customer is after a single clean I run a mile from them.   3 (15%)
I dont like them, but some customers fool me into it.   8 (40%)
I love one-off jobs.   9 (45%)

Dont really see an option for me to vote, the poll seems skewed towards how much you do not like doing them....
Anyway, i enjoy one offs/first cleans. I think with the WFP system it is a really good chance to show off what the system does best, and the results can be really good. If ive canvassed touted the work myself then i'll just be offering them the standard price what i charge the others. (lets use £10 as an example). If i'm approached and asked if i can clean someones house for them i don't mention, prices, monthly or anything i go look at it. If its ok, i'll charge the £10 and offer them to go monthly. If its minging i'll tell them i would want (for example) £16 to clean it all up.When its done if they are happy with the job i will then offer them the option of going on the round for £10 a month to keep it looking that way. Nothings set in stone and i vary it slightly as the situation requires. But there is no way i am cleaning a minging house for a regular clean price of say £10,spending an hour on it and them saying thats great, we'll ring you when we want them doing again. The very last person i'm going to rip off is myself !!

Thanks for your comments Mike.

What option would you have wanted?

Please read my first comment, my website or my back posts, I do like them. I have the impression though that many on here wont touch them or get upset when customers pospone or cancel after one or two cleans.

I'm thinking of positioning myself as a specialist in one-offs as so many don't seem to want them, I offer the option, for a premium on my website.

I'd of probably liked the option..i enjoy them but do charge a bit more for them.
Obviously if they are minging.,if they aint to bad i don't. The way the custy acts often tells you what they want. When their eyes light up when they see the pole cleaning out the UPVC and they ask me can i do the same for them, i have a fair idea what they want, so i charge for it.

My favourites are one off jobs where they need you the same/ next day. With these you can really charge a premium rate.  :)
