hi all, want your thoughts on this one,my boss is a very busy lady and has been good to me,out of respect for her i want to give 1 month notice when i am ready. so not to leave her high and dry . now i asked someone from remploy about staff for my business but to keep it under there hat, they had a visit with my boss last week, and i think it may have sliped out because my boss keeps asking me is there anything i need to tell her,i so want to but i have tryed and hinted ,anyway i am afraid if i say something now before she may just say if you dont want to be here leave now, i cant afford to till after xmas but would prefare if it was out in the open,i may be just paronoid or could shock her .Ther never seems to be a good time

Hi as an employer I can honestly say that when a good employee starts to think about leaving you allmost allways know. small things change you just pick up the vibes it allmost never comes as a surprise.

If she respects you as much as you her then tell her and work your notice till christmas. I know I prefer this way with good staff.
Cheers

If you have finally made up your mind and you have worked for your employer long enough to be protected by employment law fine bring it out into the open.

However  it  is possible to talk yourself out of a job with your dreams.

It happened to me once.

As when out in the open booses start asking whats appening why has it not happened etc. It creates a vacum in the organization while waiting for it to happen.

Also there is a posibility your work performnce starts to fall off as you are not commited !00% to your present employer.
