Priced a job a few months back, medium sized house so quoted £15, lady was happy, although insisted on showing me every window and pointing out every single thing that caught her eye.
We have cleaned it about 4 times with no problems, cheque always arrived promptly.
Yesterday my lads turned up, got the gear out and were about to start when out comes the customer to ask "what are you doing? I dont have a window cleaner" she says.
After a bit of a discusion about the fact we have her name address phone number and 4 previous cheques on the system. she says "oh well clean them now, then come back in March, and after that I will have them done every 4 months"
Yeh right lady! of course you will.   
Nowt so queer as folk!!!

Yeh I did wonder if there might be a problem like that, which is why I tell my lads no matter how odd the customer is, just smile and agree with them.

i too have gained a few oddities. you can always tell an oddbod-they like to make wisecracks while following you about. this usually doesnt bother me too much but the other day one wisecracker decides he wants to follow me out as i walk to my van with ladder on my shoulder and walks head first into the end of my ladder . im sure he did it on purpose to get attention !

i had a very nice lady who got dementia - it was very sad, house and garden went to rack and ruin, relatives apparently not interested in helping her.

I had/have a custy in a road i do 4 houses in and every month she come's out and asks me if i could give her a price so after 4 months i was getting annoyed so i told her a higher price to see what she said it jumped from £15 to £20 and he said brilliant but she is really starting to do my head in because i wont do it when she's not there just in case.

You got to love them really.

I once had a customer who thought I had been around only two weeks or so before.  It had actually been nearer three months as I had been ill.  We had a discussion about it and eventually he took me at my word but seemed very puzzled.  He was a decent customer - not a messer.  Anyway, I did a couple more cleans over the weeks and the cheques arrived.  On the next clean I saw his wife who I hadn't seen for ages.  It turned out that he had recently died from a brain tumour.  So I reckon that his confusion about dates was probably the early stages of the tumour before it was diagnosed.

The house belongs to the owner of a care home. after I was done she came out with tears running down her face, I naturally asked if everything was ok, (she is a personal friend as well as a customer) she said "sorry I am a bit tearful, I am studying for a degree in special care of dementia patients and the case studies were so moving it made me cry"

I had that when out collecting the women came to the door in tears and I asked if she was ok she smiled and said its ok someone had just died on corination street

i have an elderly lady who constantly asks me what are my kids names i clean it every two weeks then she goes on about how big next doors tree is getting (its got no bigger in the 5 yrs that i've been going)
the best one is she nearly always comes out with "is that you done for the day now" Iam always at her house for about 9:30  10:00 thought about giving it up but i do feel for her
