"Are you still window cleaning?"
« on: September 03, 2010, 04:58:33 pm »

As with all of us customers move house and we don't hear from them for months if not years. Then suddenly a call and the question.

Do customers just assume that we clean windows until a "proper" job comes along?

I always feel tempted to reply: "No I still splash and dash."  ;D

I once had a proper job...........................Worked I disagree off as quality systems auditor, Worked late to get deadlines in time.....took work home regularly......practicly did my boss's job in the hope of getting a payrise every year......constantly studying and going on courses to further my career......

Now I have loads of time off, fit from all the exercise, Tanned from working out doors and a constant smile from my stress free life!

OK, I dont get a pension, holidays, sick pay and the luxury of working in a nice warm office in the winter but I would hate the thought of having to go back to working for someone else again!

i used to be a production manager in printing with 35 people under me,used to do my head in,i would rather clean windows, earn more, get a tan, meet normal people, start work and finish when i want.Take a day off,do work when i want to!
life cant get much better than that!

Great thread. Been in the sun all day on a big commercial. Paid in cash at the end of the day, and splurged on 3 pints at the local with mates that are whingeing about how poop it is to work in an office. Happy days!  ;D
