postal remnders?

does anyone use postal reminders to prompt customers to pay up
if so how do you word it with out sounding like your badgering them

Very rarely. And after I've dropped a handwritten reminder in to them when I've knocked and found them not home when I'm cleaning in the neighbourhood.

Usually I write along the lines of "obviously this has been overlooked ... please settle this account or let me know why" sort of thing.

I get the missus to ring them and make's it sound like the girl in the office chasing payment, seems to work. She won't give up mind, pay up or expect a lot of phone calls  ;) ;D
