Guttervac motor

Think one of my motors has blown on my guttervac style vacuum. Has anyone changed a motor? Can it be done? Are they expensive?
My vac is generally pretty tatty now but I'm buggered if I'm going to fork out £650+ for a new one. It's only three motors on top of a dustbin for * sake!

Dualpumps. All ok now, stripped it down and found a loose wire inside. looks fairly easy to change motors too.

Hi
I have been looking into gutter cleaning, can you give me the model of your vacuum.
has anyone DIY built the pole system.
it just ssems to me they all want circa 2000 quid, for essentially a wet and dry vac and 30 feet of ally tubing.
except fot the upkeeper which has a honda engine on it i cant see the justification, but then the upkeeper is double again.
cheers
john

Cheapest I can find the vac unit is around £500 add a few carbon superlight sections, make a 'u'bend and nozzle, get yourself a 4.5kva generator + heavy duty extension lead and away you go.
Polarbrite make one but it's less power or you could buy the even more powerful Omnivac guttervac if your funds stretch that far.
Cheaper still would be the one from Eastern Trading Company.
